It explores the link between attitude and behaviour, the true costs of poor safety performance and the benefits of getting it right, and gives delegates practical tools to put behavioural change into practice.

Syllabus

Legal Duties & Fundamentals

  • The basic legal duties of employers and employees
  • Defining hazards, risks and control measures
  • Listing the possible causes of accidents

Attitude & Behaviour

  • Understanding the link between attitude and behaviour
  • Understanding the costs of poor safety performance
  • Understanding the benefits of good safety performance

Putting It Into Practice

  • Putting ABC into practice using the STAARR and TASK card
  • Successfully completing the course assessment

Notes

Comprehensive notes will be given to all students who attend the course.

Certification

On satisfactory completion of the course a certificate of competence will be issued that will be valid for three years.
