Aims & Objectives
Your spill responders are among your most valuable assets in protecting your site and the environment from pollution incidents. Having spill kits and equipment is important, but knowing how to use them is essential.
This course ensures key staff understand their responsibility for site safety, spill control and environmental protection. It provides familiarity with your emergency plan, drainage systems, and spill prevention and clean-up products and techniques, reducing the likelihood of a pollution incident and the costs associated with spill clean-up.
Investment in spill training supports ISO 14001 and Investors in People, helps meet regulations including the Pollution Prevention Guidelines (PPG21) and the Control of Major Accident Hazards Regulations (COMAH), and forms part of your Pollution Incident Response Plan.
